Another month brought another story:o). The one we really like, Papamoa Beach is nice little town, you can smell the sea in the air, positive and friendly athmosphere at home as well as in town, few shops but everything we need at the same place, perfect gym with swimming pools which we´re visiting after job, sandy beach is 100m far from house and czech couple we live with is really nice, kind and fair:o). We started to work on orchard from first days here, the job we do is called tinning and it means that we´re in big gold kiwi orchard, pickng up little kiwi all days. We work in team consists of 15 people from Argentina, Chile, Czech, our supervisor is French guy (nice guymy friend from France:o), he speaks polish-so we talk together in polish and the rest speak Spanish so we don´t improve our english a lot, but we definitely gain Spanish:o). Verca is minding children sometimes, but she gave precendence to kiwi job at the moment because it´s new, some things had to be organised there-all done, lots of time for thinking about everything, being outside, listening to the songs of NZ birds, spending time with Kuba and others...just Take things easy:o) and it works:o). When we have day off we go on trips to Papamoa hills, where there is beautiful view from summits, to waterfalls, we play some games, have barbecue ot go to pub with some Kiwi to learn about them. For the moment the mentality here seems to be really island and limited. People hardly ever know about the rest of the world, about states and their capitals, they asked out South America friends, whether they wear clothes in their country and when you hope that it was joke..unfortunately not, it wasn´t.... But on the other hand they are really friendly, smilling, willing and all the time saying hello when passing you, whistling and singing in the streets, don´t care about things and no woories with problems...When we slow down and look it´s nice but too much easygoing. We have to admit that there are things to learn for us and things to teach them and this is one of the beautiful aspects of travelling:o). The weather is getting better now, sun is shining and is really strong so we must protect ourselves even under the leaves of kiwi. The job we do is called tinning, it means to thin out bad kiwi and leave nice and round ones. They are really small, only few millimetres in average and you have to choose the nicest and take the other out. Our team after some changes works very good maybe too much, because after few days our supervisor decided that we are too friendly towards each other and it is not good for work and she scattered us like big storm, somebody fired from work, somebody from house-she is offering accomodation as well, somebody sent to different place and so we celebrated our first walking papers in life. We made some barbecue with others and went for a trip for weekend. First free day we went fishing on the sea with our housemate Jindra and than we visited Rotorua, Waimango- volcanic valley, Taimako-traditional Maori village and any more interesting...You´ll see them on pictures with descriptions-hopefully:o)..And now we work with kiwi again, for one really nice Indian guy. We are the members of family from India, which creates our new team. They have been here more then 5 years-all the aunts, oncles, grandmammas and grandpas, some of them know only Hello from English words, but fortunately there is younger generation and we spend time talking about their culture, habits, religion, conflicts with Pakistan and sometimes we thing we made a mistake and landed in India, it´s interesting. Verca works as babysitter on Fridays and Saturdays and everything seems to be settled for these days...Photos November
