After one week in Seoul we continued with our travel towards New Zealand. The flight from Seoul to Auckland was longer than from Prague to Seoul, which we didn´t expect, but what could you do:o). We had two guys waiting for us at the airport-czech girl Lucka and kiwiman Jason, thay gave us the lift to Glenfield-one part of Auckland and we were allowed to stay with them for few days. Auckland is a bit strange, it is not city but it is not village as well. It looks like mixture of many many small villages conglomerated together. Every body lives in family house, all the buildings are only ground floor and distances between different suburbs are huge especial when yoiu don´t own any car. First difference we noticed was temprerature-only around 15C outside as well as inside the house, then people around...it´s like big melting pot-all nationalities, colours of skin, accents etc. We got one single blowing-up bed and that was all. Friday 10th oc Oct we went to post office, bank, all the institutions for IRD numbers, accounts, registrations, job agencies and first few days were like that since morning till evening, handing out our CV, some interviews, which gace us incredible experience about mentality of some island people. They were able to trust that Verca has finished University studies, they couldn´t understand why she cańn´t come to work on Christmas day if it´s weekend (from calendar on the wall was obvious that this Chr.Day is on Thursday) etc. We went to different companies, schools, Ministries of Education, Special Education, Social Work- they have Ministry for nearly every single job and when we had enogh we made some beautiful trips to countryside. All the places are named with photos. After two weeks of waiting and sorting out Verca got the job in Nursery school and Kuba in Ice Cream shop...but what happened than? We realised that we don´t like Auckland so much, we don´t feel good with our housemates, we prefer to stay near the sea and so...we moved:o). We took everything to our old new car Subaru Legacy and drove to Papamoa Beach. We live in house 100m far from sea with wonderful nature around, with two really kind people-czech as well-they live here more than five years and both of us work at the moment on orchard. We will see what´s the story here in few days-at the moment it is what we wanted to try because stay in New Zealand without house on beach and without experience with kiwi would not be dandy...We are still going on trips to vulcanos, waterfalls or hills, sometimes we go to swimming pool-because water outside is really cold, sometimes we play the cards or meet some new people...trying to keep things easy and relax as it is in this country-sometimes too much, too easygoing but we wanted to get to know it so we are:o). And that was the story of October, we will be back with you during November...So enjoy your time, have a nice days and positive mood and let us know how are you-we need some information about our friends from the rest of the world.
